“기억이라는 가이드북을 펼쳐본다. 떠나간 사람들을 읽어 본다.” 팝업북 전시와 그림자극 공연이 연계된 작품으로, 주간에는 종이로 만들어진 동네를 팝업북으로 전시하고 야간에는 낯선 방문객의 이야기를 그림자극으로 공연한다. 

“Open the guidebook called memory. Read about the people who are gone.” This work combines a pop-up book display and a shadow play. A village made of paper is displayed as a pop-up book by day, and the story of an unfamiliar visitor is performed as a shadow play by night.

팝업씨어터 팔꿈치의 활동범위는 극장 밖에서 이야기가 튀어나오는 공연을 만들고 있다. 펼쳐지고 접히는 팝업북처럼 우리 주변에서 나타나고 사라지는 존재들에 관심이 많다. 지구 생태계와 잘 살아가는 연극을 꿈꾼다. The pop-up theatre troupe, Pop-up Theatre Elbowroom, makes their stories stand out with performances outside the theatre. They are highly interested in things that appear and disappear around us like characters in pop-up books. They dream of plays that harmonize with the Earth's ecosystem.
