우리 모두 뒤에서 눈을 가리고 누구인지 맞혀보는 놀이를 해본 적이 있을 것이다. 그런데 이 놀이가 전혀 다른 의미를 지닌다면 어떨까? 이 작품은 유머와 춤, 연극적 느낌과 고난도의 아크로바틱이 어우러져 뒤에서 눈을 가리고 누군지 맞혀보는 놀이와 같이 모두에게 친밀한 이야기를 들려주는 작품이다.

We have all been blindfolded from behind at some time or another, in order to get into the game of trying to find out who it was, but what if it was all about something else?

A piece where humor, dance, theatricality and impossible acrobatics come together to tell a story that is very close to the public, such as the act of having your eyes covered from behind to discover who it is.

엘렐레이 컴퍼니는 2020년 예술가 사브리나 가르가노와 라파 자가트의 협업을 통해 탄생했다. 그 바탕에는 무용과 연극을 결합하여 하나의 분야로서의 언어를 만들어 낼 수 있다는 아이디어가 있다. 스토리텔링, 현상이 일어나는 이유, 그리고 청중과 동화될 수 있는 방법에 대한 궁금증을 바탕으로 두 사람은 2020년 첫 번째 작품인 '시에가스(A CIEGAS)'를 선보였다. 2021년 봄 초연된 이 작품은 이미 포르투갈 MAIS IMAGINARIUS 페스티벌에서 1위를, 2021년 하노버 제35회 국제안무대회에서 관객상을 수상했다. 두 사람은 스페인, 영국, 포르투갈, 그리스, 이탈리아, 네덜란드를 순회하고 있다. THE ELELEI COMPANY was born in 2020 from the collaboration between the artists, Sabrina Gargano (Barletta, Italy) and Rafa Jagat (Valencia), with the idea of being able to combine dance and theatre and create a single disciplinary language. Motivated by telling stories, wondering why things happen and how they could be assimilated by the audience, they created their first work “A CIEGAS” in 2020. The work premiered in the spring of 2021 and it has, already, won the first prize at the MAIS IMAGINARIUS Festival in Portugal and the AUDIENCE AWARD at the 35th Competition International Choreographer Hannover 2021. The duet is touring across Spain, the U.K., Portugal, Greece, Italy and Netherlands.
